Huge blow of heart for a recent work of the brothers Mateus in Lisbon, always on the same hill, in the district of Castelo. Overlooking the old Alfama district, this park and its panoramic terrace offers a unique view of the Rio Tejo. After having strolled through the complex fabric small narrow streets of Alfama, arriving near the museum of decorative arts, one discovers that unique public space, urban real developer. Place of rest and contemplation, obligatory stopping in the middle of the bustling city, this "urban gap" offers respite to those who deserved a chance to find out. It is actually a car park built into the hillside, the roof was converted into public space. Designed with simplicity, this platform above the old town just underlines the horizon and marks its presence in the only white marble used. Only by measuring the place, by traversing the ramps, we discover with surprise that this is a car park. I must say I was really seduced by the idea of using the top of such equipment to create a silence in the city. Continuing our visit, we spotted a cafe terrace in which trade is actually below the first terrace ... well, I confess to have benefited, without once having to antispiritualiste booed these jobbers or mogul reached. Times change ...
